Giving

We joyfully invite you to give to the mission and ministry of St. Mark's. As Christians, we give financially to our church out of gratitude. God has been generous to us in the life and work of Jesus Christ. Returning a portion of our financial resources is a sign of our gratitude to God. There are several ways to give to St. Mark's.  Click here to learn more ways to give to St. Mark's.

Music

Choir and Handbells Rehearsals
If you love to sing and enjoy having a great time with friends, the St. Mark’s Choir is for you!  We have Choir rehearsals on Sundays at 8:45 a.m. & Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.  We also have a three-octave set of Malmark handbells.  We have handbell choir rehearsals on Sundays, at 8:00 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to being a new ministry that will truly enhance our worship experiences.  There is absolutely no experience required, and you don’t even need to know how to read music.  Please join us as we prepare for leading in worship each week, as well as for special musical offerings throughout the year.  For more information click here.  We look forward to sharing this wonderful opportunity with you!

Helping Others

School Supply Drive for Taylor Ray Elementary

The Daughters of the King (DOK) will be sponsoring a school supply drive for Taylor Ray Elementary School in Rosenberg for the third year in a row. The leadership at Taylor Ray continues to appreciate our efforts to provide needed supplies. The 2024-2025 Lamar CISD elementary school supply list is available with copies posted in the parish hall and by clicking here. Bins will be located in the narthex and the parish hall during June and July to drop off your donations. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Abbott.

Make a Difference

Our ministry fair/Rally day is so much fun! We will have our Parish Hall full of teams ready to accept new volunteers for each of their ministry areas. There's truly something for everyone! Episcopal Night with the Space Cowboys
The Southwest Convocation of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas (St. Mark's, Calvary, and St. Catherine of Sienna) is headed to root for the Space Cowboys as they play ball against the Sacramento River Cats at Constellation Stadium on Friday, July 26. Be sure to purchase your tickets by July 22 for our special pricing and reserved seats. Click here to purchase your tickets today
Christmas is coming early this year at St. Mark’s!
Oh, the weather outside is sunny, and we’d thought it would be fun to fire up the grill and invite you to chill at St. Mark’s Christmas in July party on Sunday, July 28 at 11:00am.  So wear your favorite tropical outfit to bring on the festive day. We will have a parish wide potluck. Look for the sign up sheet in the parish hall. There will be a contest for the best "Santa's Surf Shack" (gingerbread house) so get ready to create! We will have candies and props available but feel free to bring your own to decorate your house for the contest.  This for all youth and any youthful members.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with this event, please email Sandy Barkerding.

Blessing of the Backpacks
The start of school is right around the corner, which means it is time for the annual “Blessing of the Backpacks”. Whether you are in grade school or grad school, work from home or drive downtown, bring your empty backpacks and work bags to church this Sunday for a special blessing! We will also pray for our kids, parents, educators, and administrators to have a safe and amazing school year. See you on Sunday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m.
